About my clinical practice

I am an NHS Consultant Rheumatologist with more than 15 years of experience in rheumatology. I diagnose and manage the full spectrum of rheumatological conditions, from the early diagnosis of inflammatory arthritis and its long-term management, to gout, osteoarthritis, soft tissue disorders, osteoporosis and chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia.
In my private clinic I can give you the time a complex picture often needs. We will go through your symptoms and history in detail, I will examine you carefully, and together we will agree a plan that makes sense to you.
Musculoskeletal ultrasound
As part of my special interest in inflammatory arthritis, I completed extensive training in musculoskeletal ultrasound to Postgraduate Certificate level. I helped establish the ultrasound clinic within the rheumatology department at the Haywood Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent, supporting the early detection of joint inflammation and the monitoring of patients on treatment.

Fibromyalgia and chronic widespread pain
A compassionate, thorough assessment, ruling out other causes, explaining the diagnosis and exploring what helps, including the link between stress, the nervous system and pain.

Alongside my medical practice, I offer subconscious mind-body healing sessions for people whose pain, fatigue or flares seem tied to stress and emotional load. These are separate from rheumatology appointments and always work alongside your medical care.
