In partnership with Cheshire Sobriety Clinic

Addiction Recovery Support

A compassionate, non-residential programme for people who want to change their relationship with alcohol or drugs, combining practical recovery support with subconscious healing.

A whole-person approach

Support for the habit and what sits beneath it

Drinking or using is often a way of coping. Recovery means finding safer ways to feel safe.

I am proud to work alongside Cheshire Sobriety Clinic, led by John Wilkinson, a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Practitioner with over 25 years of NHS experience. Together we have created a programme for people who want support with problematic drinking or drug use, without going into residential rehab.

John's sessions focus on the practical side of recovery: understanding your triggers, building coping strategies and planning for the situations that feel hardest. My sessions, as a medical doctor and RTT® practitioner, gently explore the emotional experiences and beliefs that may be driving the need to escape or numb.

Working with both the conscious and subconscious mind means you are supported with what you do day to day and with the feelings underneath it.

Recognising the signs

Is your drinking or drug use worrying you?

Noticing a pattern is often the first step towards change. Some common signs include:

Needing more

Finding you need to drink or use more to get the same effect, or regularly drinking more than you planned.

Feeling unwell without it

Physical or emotional symptoms such as shakiness, sweating, anxiety or poor sleep when you cut down or stop.

Other things slipping

Work, family, relationships or responsibilities being affected, or finding yourself hiding or justifying how much you use.

Your safety comes first

If you drink heavily every day or feel unwell when you stop, please do not stop suddenly on your own, as alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous. Speak to your GP first, who can arrange medically supervised support where needed. Our programme works alongside your medical care, not instead of it. If you are in crisis, call 999 or NHS 111.
